Hey, Hi, How Are Ya?

Last night my friend asked me if I wanted to shoot one of his friend's bands and the band guy promised to pay and all that jazz. After inhaling my dinner, I went to find the place they were playing at - low and behold they're playing at Skull Alley. Knowing that I already feel like I am going to be out of my element. After debating heavily in my car if it was either worth staying, I got out and told the "muscle guard" at the front that I was the photographer for HHHAY and I was somehow let in for free and shown the way to the back.

Only drag to this place for picture taking was the terrible lighting and I was afraid to get on everyone's nerves using my flash. I attempted to shoot a little during mic tests before all the 'moshing' started and the shots were to horrible. However, when the show started I was forced to use my flash. I think I got somewhat decent shots with all things considered. All the members of the band were really nice and I really liked them. Let's just see if they like anything that I shot last night.

*Sighs*

I do believe since I have become such an avid blogger that it is only fitting that I need to tell you what happened today in Megan's world of photo for today.

Gavin ended up writing me an email to come meet in his office because he wanted to talk about a job that he had for which he said he'd be willing to pay me for. When I went into his office another coworker was sitting there and Gavin began to fill her in on all the things he has planned for me and then the girl interrupted him saying she has dibs. Ha ha, I have never felt so important being fought over for my special talents!

Anyways, she admitted that she was a major UofL fan and would probably be looking to buy something like what I have for her dad's office. Excitement rose. Things are continuing to fall into place and I am loving it! One of Gavin's homework assignments was to design a Green Bay Packer poster for one of his friend's that's a designer. So I need to put on my creative hat and begin thinking of something that will hopefully impress - again.
