Nashville Shoot
Well besides monsoon amounts of rain and night time dormitory dramatics - the Summer Sizzler was a blast. It was my second time sitting through a full swim meet and I can proudly say that I am learning more and more about this sport. Sure I had a constant shadow answering my never-ending questions, but hey, I am learning the sport!

too bad the 300mm couldn't make its debut and blow that man with the cheap monopod out of the water, pun intended :)
I wish that I could have played around with the 300mm just to experiment and try different angles and all that jazz. However, I was just really lazy and content on using the lenses that could fit in my nifty bag. (Which I now need to invest in another one to hold all my new gear...yay for spending!)
Anyways, next time I will use that 300 and be able to see the single water droplets falling from the noses of the swimmers, the sweat of the brow, the anticipation and lines in the faces before the buzzer. Oh, I can feel magic in the making!
